Our Staff

Sharon RoseSharon Rose, B.A.Ed., is the owner, director, and head teacher of Rose Blossom Nursery School. Sharon has a California teaching certificate qualifying her to supervise both preschool and school-age after school programs, and a California multiple-subject teaching certificate for ages preschool through adult education. Sharon has studied Nonviolent Communication with Marshall Rosenberg, Ph.D., and uses this training as a foundation for conflict resolution and classroom management at Rose Blossom School. Sharon has taught a wide range of subjects to both children and adults for almost thirty years, in both the public and private sectors. Sharon provides a consistent and caring social and academic environment, and brings to Rose Blossom School the creative arts of music, singing, creative drama, and storytelling.



Coleen Coleen is a qualified preschool teacher, having earned over sixteen ECE units at Cabrillo Community College, and she is currently working towards earning her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Before working as a preschool teacher at Rose Blossom School, Coleen owned, operated and was head teacher at her home based preschool/daycare for over 10 years. Coleen brings a unique familiarity to her role as teacher at Rose Blossom. She has been part of the Rose Blossom community for over 6 years, starting out as a parent volunteer while her son, Matthew, attended Rose Blossom. Coleen put in many volunteer hours during the time both of her children, Matthew (10) and Makayla(5) attended preschool and kinder years at Rose Blossom and is very familiar with Rose Blossom School's program and routine. Coleen loves spending time with the children creating art and crafts, and bringing stories to life when reading to the children.


Maria is enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program at Cabrillo Community College. She has previously worked at Aptos Academy Preschool as a Teacher’s Aide. Maria loves reading to the children and enjoys the warmth and friendliness of Rose Blossom School. She brings cheerfulness and enthusiasm for learning and team teaching to Rose Blossom School.


Susannah is a substitute teacher at Rose Blossom School. She has earned a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology. She is a qualified preschool teacher with over 17 units in Early Childhood Education, and continues to enjoy classes at Cabrillo College. Susannah was a parent volunteer throughout her son's preschool and elementary education. Her son, Will, is now 15 and Susannah enjoys sharing tales of when he was younger with the children as well as bringing in extra activities and ideas from her classes at Cabrillo. The children especially like her memory game using a "grab bag”.


Visiting Staff

Tumbling Tutor® is a fun and exciting gymnastics-based movement experience. We offer preschool, daycare, and private play-groups an opportunity to have one of our instructors bring the Tumbling Tutor® program into your facility. Each class is a fun-filled 45-minute movement adventure. We bring over 20 years of teaching experience into our lessons. Each child will excel in this supportive learning environment. All of our staff are live-scanned, and we carry independent liability insurance.

Each tumbling session includes:

  • Private professional individual instruction
  • Varied tumbling apparatus brought to you – junior swing bar, tumbling wedge, panel mats, and more.
  • Music to improve rhythm, balance, and coordination.

$13 per child, per class (minimum 4 classes)
6-student class minimum, paid by families.
One-time $25 Registration fee.
